For the second year in a row UC Santa Barbara was ranked the 10th Best Party School by the Princeton Review. In their newly released 2008 edition of The Best 366 Colleges, the university 90 minutes north of LA was the only California school to make the Top 10.
The top ranked party school this year was West Virginia University, a school that has made the list seven times in the past 15 years.
But not since 1997 have the Mountaineers taken the top spot. Last year, WVU was No. 3, bested by the University of Texas at Austin and Penn State, both of which remain in the top 10 this year. The CNN/SI blog, FanNation brings up a good point when they question the list's lack of a local college who have shown more than their fair share of school spirit lately.Senior Katie O'Hara, 22, said WVU is No. 1 because "no matter what kind of party you want it's here -- bars, fraternities, house parties. ... If you want to take shots all night, there's a bar; no matter what you want to do, it's there."
Still, O'Hara said her friends "know how to manage their time. They know when to party and when not to," which wouldn't explain the school's No. 1 ranking in the category of Their Students (Almost) Never Study. - AP
We’re trying to figure out how any college party could top UCLA’s annual undie run, especially after seeing these pics, but the Bruins didn’t even make the Top 20, so what do we know?photo by Sonny I. LaVista for LAist

Easy, UCSB has hot guys, those UCLA pics didn't do much to garner my vote.
Because UCLA students actually DO know when to stop partying and when you to study. The Undie Run is actually during finals week so if you think about it, it's like a reaction to the serious amount of studying and being cooped up in a room indefinitely - it leads to insane acts such as running around in your undies.
UCSB are very accessible but not as great as I'd thought they'd be when I went.
I'm so proud.
Enough about the undie run. It's not that original; UC Santa Cruz does a naked run in the rain every year, which is far more radical and far more fun than UCLA's little sleepover prank.
GOOOOO GAUCHOS!
hmm Playboy ranked UCSB as #2 last year.
Anyway, that undie run....tame, that's what most weekends look like on DP, and multiply that and that's what you get for one of the multiple days of the Halloween festivities.
But UCSC students are always high so the fact that UCLA students are doing it fully conscious of their actions makes it that much cooler and risque.
Someone should really document USC's fountain run. Everyone's pretty much in their "undies" anyway, but with the added bonus of being wet. Ok, I'll do it.
