I hate when that happens - I always let guys know that I am attached, otherwise it's icky. By the way, I think the friends who dropped the dime on these guys/prospects were actually doing you a favor and being good guys. I am sure that they knew that the "girlfriend..." was left unsaid and they put the info out there intntionally. Basically, all men have a friend whose morals tend differ from the good guys. This is their way of setting things straight.

I think it's very uncool to hook up with guys with girlfriends, whether the girlfriend's existence is explicitly or implicitly stated, or not stated at all. That said, maybe girls who sleep with guys with girlfriends deserve to end up wtih guys who cheat on their girlfriends.

See, I hate it when guys whom I would like to be friends with stop talking to me when they find out I have a boyfriend. I'd like to think I'm capable of having good friendships with guys without the question of sex entering into the picture. BUT THEN AGAIN I am pretty awesome so it's totally understandable they'd just be interested in dating.
