When Angelenos want to find out what restaurants are good, they used to turn to Citysearch. Now, though, it appears that Yelp is the go to source for this kind of information. A recent perusal of the site shows that The Griddle is "the most bookmarked in the last month." So, what does this have to do with the LA City Council, you ask?
The LA City Council has their own Yelp Review page. Yes, it's true. With only one review, the Los Angeles City Council Members seems to be doing fine. But, what do you think? Will the LA City Council ever be the most bookmarked in the last month like The Griddle? Regardless of the popularity of the page (only one review as of this writing), this is a great opportunity to have the City Council reviewed by folks that may not always give opinions on our local leaders.
The one reviewer calls out only 3 members by name: Hahn, Parks, & Wesson. These 3 and their 12 colleagues make up this esteemed body, and they deserve to hear your praise, criticism, and/or comments.
Also notable is that other Yelp pages exist for 311 Services and the City itself.

That one comment on the City Council members from back in April is hilarious in its seriousness. It's the first time anyone probably ever called Herb Wesson "a charismatic speaker," or Hahn someone who was clearly in charge of her facts and sensible. She did nail Bernie as someone who is fastidious in detail and his person. I wouldn't add another comment to that one, it is such a gem of silliness.
I'm glad Citysearch is finally getting some competition. It's site is slow and it's generally just been getting more and more sucky.
clearly Yelp owns! hehe :)
