LAst Night's Action: Sparks Finally Die Out

It's over. Finally.Comets 82, Sparks 72 - A long and painful season is over for the Sparks. Without a preggo Lisa Leslie, the team crashed and burned through the final half of the season, finishing with an overall record of 10-24. If you're really eager to check out some professional women's sports in LA, how about a football game later this week?

Dodgers 4, Rockies 3 - The Dodgers took the rubber game in a 2-1 series against Colorado. Ramon Martinez had three RBIs, including the game winner. Brad Penny threw 111 pitches but got no decision. Takashi Saito struck out three in a row for the save.

Angels 3, Red Sox 1 - The Angels yo-yo'ed in Bean Town, pulling out a win on Sunday to salvage a series split. Anaheim's two runs in the first were enough, but they added an insurance run in the 7th on a wild pitch. There was some tension in the game between Boston and the Halo's Orlando Cabrera, who has been accused of stealing signs.

Elsewhere - Can anybody explain why this small Serbian town is crazy for Rocky? ... College football is just like it's always been, except that it's not ... Harvard rescheduled a highly anticipated football game due to Jewish holiday conflict.

Today's Action - Yankees @ Angels (7:00pm).
