Just so your readers know, by the afternoon this event is nothing but a big sausage fest with tons of drunken guys wandering the beach courts wondering where all the cute girls are. Seriously.... Yes, it's great, but Pubclub doesn't properly reflect the true reason this six man event even exists! It's part of a much larger city-wide Surf Festival (www.surffestival.org) designed to showcase the best lifeguards in the Los Angeles County area. Not just a place to come and get drunk. Which is prohibited by the way. Hopefully people will read my blog and realize that I'm not the only one who feels this way about this city-sanctioned event being hijacked by people determined to turn this event into something it was never intended to be.
