Always great to hear about a newbie going to a Rick concert, especially a guy. Yep, most of us out there are mid 30's to late 40's and we do love Rick. As the above commenter said, that person obviously did not know squat about Rick. Didn't even get the name right.

Three of his band members have been in the biz for years. Rodger Carter (drummer), Derek Hilland (keyboard), and Matt Bissonette (bass). Rodger has been the drummer for many bands including Berlin and Meredith Brooks. He is the owner of The Doghouse Recording Studio (www.thedoghousestudio.net). Derek has played with White Snake and Iron Butterfly. Matt has played with Ringo Starr, Boz Skaggs, Gino Vanelli, Julian Lennon, Brian Wilson, Steve Perry, Peter Frampton, the list goes on and on. All are great musicians and when they come together with George Bernhardt on the guitar and Rick in the front...we always have a great time. Thanks for posting about the concert.

LOL. I don't know what crazy person you were talking to, but it wasn't Rick's former fan club president. His real name is Richard Lewis Springthorpe. His father's name was Norman. This information is on his website. http://www.rickspringfield.com/full/timeline.html

I am glad you enjoyed the show, Rick entertains in his live shows. Universal was a rockin' show.
