Re-Do Prom this Saturday @ The Key Club for Free

prom duct tape lovers

Even though we smiled in the pictures in our rented tuxes and frilly dresses, most of us had a shitty time at prom. Some of those haunting memories and major disappointments may have followed us into adulthood, and for some, ruined our lives forever.

When you're a teenager and the prettiest girl you know just broke up with her boyfriend, and your "girlfriend" lives far away and her dad won't let her fly back to her old hometown -- despite the fact that he works for United and she could fly free but he's hating on you because he knows that 1) your mom is out of town meaning you have the house to yourself for the weekend 2) you both love each other but have never even tried to go past 2nd base 3) your mom also left the keys to the Grand Prix -- you end up "stuck" with the prettiest girl in school as your prom date.

And sure you look great together - you're young! you could wear clothes made entirely of duct tape and look great - and sure everyone's jealous of you cuz she looks amazing that special night. But because you barely know each other, hell if she's gonna tell you that the reason she seems miserable isn't because of you, but because Auntie Flo arrived in town early and she barely wants to be alive let alone forced to dance. And of course she doesn't know how to enunciate this to you because, mainly, she's 16, so of course you take it personally and dance with every other hot chick there Except her and you don't even kiss her goodnight before you slam the door of the Grand Prix and peel out of her driveway and start your life of crime and hate for dances of all sorts.

Our good friends at Yelp feel your pain and have picked this Saturday to provide a venue for you to exorcise those wicked demons. To celebrate Yelp LA's one year anniversary, The Key Club is hosting Yelp's "Off Like a Prom Dress" prom where admission is free but prom attire is required.

Rarely does life give you a second chance at anything cool. We suggest you do it up right: limo, blue tux, airport Marriott hotel room. You know.
