Rejoice for Sales!

Shopping_Bags.jpg

Because I work in fashion, I’m able to purchase most of my clothing for wholesale. This comes has a huge benefit since my fashion taste is pretty expensive and my paycheck doesn’t exactly support a whim buy of Christian Louboutin heels. With that said, shopping isn’t always an easy experience. There are a lot of hours spent forking through mounds of clothing at sample sales and making calls to showrooms to see if there’s a dress left in my size.

Sometimes after lunch, my mother suggests to go to the mall, which is always a painful event. I have to walk by stores and look at all these things I want to buy. I then have to stop and remind myself that retail prices are the devil, and we should never succumb to them. It’s hard for me to say no, so I just don’t go to the mall and save myself the torment.

Today, after breakfast with my mother, she encouraged me to go to the mall to make some returns on an earlier buy. I agreed to go and surprisingly, I found two of the best sales I’ve seen in a long time.

First, the Anniversary Sale at Nordstrom. I bought a dress for $30 and a pair of Dolce Vita flats for $60. Sweet, I spent less than $100 on an outfit, and still change left over for some make-up.

Then, I hit up Old Navy and found two cute sundresses for less than $15 each. They were both originally priced at $29.50, but they were going for 50% off. Old Navy has a bunch of dress styles in prints and solids that are perfect for day or night.

Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale ends August 5th. You can even buy online and pay only $5 for shipping. The length of the Old Navy’s “Save Big” promotion varies in different locations. It’s probably best to go now. Their sale covers everything in active wear, including tees, tanks, pants, shorts, dresses, jackets, and underwear.

Although I didn’t scope out the men’s section, both stores are also providing sale items for guys.

Now go and buyeth.
