LAst Night's Action: Another Busy Sunday

Dustin Moseley didn't get the win, but filled in well for Bartolo Colon.Angels 13, Tigers 4 - The Angels got back on track this weekend, hammering NL Central leader Detroit for 34 runs in a three game sweep. Anaheim reached double-digits in each game and had 12 runs by the end of the third inning on Sunday. Chone Figgins had three runs in the finale and every starter scored at least once.

Rockies 9, Dodgers 6 - Los Angeles couldn't sustain a 9th inning rally and dropped the game, and the series, to Colorado. Jeff Kent injured his hamstring during the attempted comeback and is listed as day-to-day. The NL West race is getting tight, as Arizona is in a virtual tie with the Dodgers, San Diego is half a game back, and Colorado is three and a half back.

Wizards 3, Chivas USA 2 - After Chivas took an early lead, Kansas City jumped ahead early in the second half. John Cunliffe tied the game for Los Angeles a couple minutes later, but the Wizards got the game winner in the 89th minute.

Detroit 75, Sparks 73 - Los Angeles led the entire way, but still managed to lose the game in the final thirty seconds. With just one win in their past ten games, the Sparks are mired in the worst slump in the WNBA.

Elsewhere - David Beckham may not make trip to Dallas, has only played 16 minutes in the four Galaxy games since he came to the states. While he may getting frustrated about his inability to contribute, at least a distraction off the field ... Alex Rodriguez almost threw statisticians into a tizzy, but didn't ... Denmark hosts Homeless World Cup ... Watch a classic Pee Wee football trick play.
