Win Tickets To See The Ditty Bops With Jesca Hoop @ The Henry Fonda

The Ditty Bops

The Ditty Bops, Abby DeWald and Amanda Barrett, are like perfectly precious paperdolls, and the music they make is nothing short of fresh baked gingerbread. Their fanciful folk harmonies, old fashioned, ragtime-esque melodies, and penchant for the playful are the hallmarks of this utterly unique duo of doe-eyed beauties. With snazzy instrumentation (expect to see a mandolin and a dulcimer), and occasional cabaret moments, these ladies could charm the pants off a prude.

In concert, they have been known to put on a whimsical and captivating, silhouette, puppet show. To promote the release of their second record, Moon Over The Freeway (Warner Bros.), they went on a cross-country bicycle tour. When she was sixteen, one of them learned to eat fire. I’m pretty sure these girls are geniuses.

Much to our delight, in what can only be described as a windfall of tickets from Goldenvoice, we are happy to offer 2 pairs of tickets to you, our live television audience. Register to comment, and comment to win. Leave a message after the jump and tell us what you’re up to this weekend.

Update: Contest ends TODAY, 7/27 at 3pm. Winners picked at random.

I love the Ditty Bops! Saw them for the first time in Weho at that place Vaginal Davis used to perform at. My plans this weekend are dinner in Silver Lake tonight but no plans on Saturday night...

I love the Ditty Bops!! My plans for this weekend inlude running, shopping, and chilling with friends!!!

The Ditty Bops would be a nice cherry on top of my sundae of a weekend (the weather in SF sucks and I needed a reprieve! I'm so glad to be back in LA this weekend).

I'm leading a book club discussion of Lunar Park by Bret Easton Ellis (verdict: I hate this book; I love this book; I love to hate it; I hate to love it). But I'll be free Sat. night.

I'm getting straightened out tomorrow by the chiro, having an oil change, heading to the beach, and writing a freelance article. I need those tickets!
