Well. You forgot to mention. There are two DASH Bus Lines along with LADOT-Commuter Express Line 413. Also the nearest cities to the North of Van Nuys is Panorama City. And the City of Arleta. Sun Valley is more to the East. Also many people also forgot. that where Plant 42 Shopping center is. was the home of GMC's firebird auto Plant.

And The Amtrak Station has Three Amtrak Routes serving it. And all thre Amtrak Routes serving this Station. Also connects to other Amtrak Routes across the US. Allowing people from anywhere in the US to visit.

Thanks for posting this Blog.

Looks like El Nuevo Rinconcito used to be an IHOP.

Also looks like Happy Dogs got a makeover, with new menu boards.

That's what happens when you don't visit Van Nuys for years.

Van Nuys High School in Film & TV from Wikipedia (No, I'm not alumni):

The campus was used as a location for the 1982 movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Ridgemont High's mascot in the movie was the same as Van Nuys High School--a wolf, which remains VNHS' mascot today. The horror films Christine and Sleepwalkers, both written by Stephen King, were filmed at Van Nuys High School. Other, more forgettable movies filmed at Van Nuys High include Kid 'n Play's Class Act and My Stepmother is an Alien (featuring Kim Basinger.) Parts of Grease were also filmed at VNHS. The Pilot episode of The Wonder Years, and several episodes of Highway to Heaven, as was The Ramones' punk rock movie classic Rock 'n' Roll High School. The music video of Vitamin C's Graduation song was filmed at Van Nuys High School. An episode of Apple's Way 1974-1975 Vince Van Patten was filmed on the football field. An episode of Scrubs was filmed in the track field. An episode of Seventh Heaven was filmed at Van Nuys High School, as was an episode of Twin Peaks.

You can also visit Van Nuys via Metrolink, which shares the stop with Amtrak, and runs more frequently than Amtrak, at a lower price too.

The Militant wonders what the west-of-the-405 Lake Balboa secessionists think of this?
