Who - Raymond Fernandez: Working in chalk pastel, ink and acrylic...the work moves between abstract, surreal and sometimes esoteric. As a jazz drummer, Fernandez communicates the rhythm, movement and subtle emotions that jazz exudes.
Cathleen Crone’s photographs mesmerize. Her subject may be motorcycles, but what one really sees in these extreme close-ups are extraordinary compositions of light, tone, form, and texture.... Crone’s images call to mind the interconnected creative and material processes of both industry and art - Austen Bailly - L.A. County Museum Of Art.
Al Hurwitz has written 14 books on art education and taught at Dade County School of Art, Ohio State and Columbia University. A Harvard graduate and recipient of the NEA Grant for National Art Education.
