No Henry D, I am not being sarcastic. I think that I as a Black woman have a right to be able to say that yes, my people DO need to be told what to do sometimes. Look at the history of this country as far as Blacks are concerned and you will see that the patriarchal attitude of White slavemasters has extended into the collective consciousness of those who will fight tooth and nail to "keep it real." So, no, I do not mind if a Black man feels it necessary to make a song to tell his people what to do. Because whether it's done comically (like this song) or militantly (Nation of Islam), at least someone somewhere is mobilizing Black folks to do something.

lil mami- you are so right. This stuff is common sense, but some many n*ggaz never learn it. I know black people aren't happy about not getting ahead, so here's a starter for the things we need to do to get there- do it, and maybe you'll start going somewhere. The concept of someone actually buying spinning f'ing rims above owning property just blows my mind, but far too people do it everyday, so, yeah, I guess they need to be told, like children. F**k spinning rims, raise yo kids.

I thought this was absolutely brilliant. Especially since BET is exactly the peddler of this type of butt-shaking, mindless hip hop that this spot is parodying. I love hip hop and all, but n*ggaz these days need to be told what do with themselves like the mentally enslaved persons they are. Yes, buy land, yes, take care of yo kids, yes, brush yo damn teeth. Read a book. I love my brothas and siatas, but I don't love no n*ggaz. I still got the song in my head right now.
