One More Note! One More Note!
We didn't know how lucky we had it when the White Stripes came to Hollywood last month and took over the location formerly known as Tower Sunset and turned it into Icky Thump Records.
OK, yes we did.
But we had no idea how much more White Stripes love we were going to get compared to the other parts of North America in regards to these "secret shows". For example on their tour across Canada, Jack and Meg played a secret show in a moving bus - which is fine if you're one of the few dozen people in the bus, but for the rest of the town, not so much.
Now Stereogum is reporting that the White Stripes have completed probably the greatest secret show spectacle of all times - a one-note "concert" to conclude a tour across every province and territory in Canada.
As cool as that is, we're sorta glad we got a full show here in LA.

that's completely narcissistic to think they have the ultimate fan base to pull such a crock. i can't believe the audience allows them to do this shit.

oh please, if you knew they were gonna play one note somewhere around here youd go too. dont hate the player. or the note.

i guess jack and meg are just having fun with their fans haha.

What total bullshit. That's almost as narcissistic as Tony Pierce generally is on a regular basis.

What? That was here in Newfoundland, everyone thought it was hilarious, and it didn't conclude their tour, they played a full, though not free, concert at Mile One Centre later that day.

how stupid.

jeez... i thought they would have at least rocked it out with some distortion and feedback as a noise concert...
that just sucked.

Yeah, that wasn't cool at all.
Not an original idea, and a HUGE waste of time for anyone who traveled there to see them put on a show.

When the secret show was announced a few hours before it happened, people were told that it was going to be a one note show.

Man, and I though peopele who like the White Stripes were morons, BEFORE I saw this. this just takes it. What a conceded bunch of assholes. This brings shame to the word "music." I have made more appealing sounds come out of my ass, and didn't have a bunch of retards screaming for more... what gives?

You know... Every now and then a rock group comes along that encompasses everything that is great about the genre. Then there are the mongoloids that just dont get it, for whatever reason. Whenever I meet someone who doesnt like the White Stripes... I look at them like a woman who doesnt love chocolate, or a man who doesnt love blowjobs. Theres no accounting for stupidity, people.

Please that was horrible. Talk about a pretentious ASS that band is.

"I have made more appealing sounds come out of my ass" actually the only sound youll ever make that anyone could possibly locate is the klack klack klack of your keyboard... name a better or more prolific rock band so far this millenium. i dare you. (all i hear is klack klack klack)

Man, what the hell has happened to this band? OK, it's a little funny, but not that original. Also, the lyrics have slipped a bit. De Stijl had some great songs, and there have been more than a few since, but they are losing their touch. I guess that's what you get when you give the people what they want and the people are spoon-fed reality TV loving mouth breathers.

Lol, I love the White Stripes, almost as much as I love voteboob.com - vote for boobs!

There were a number of notes played for two and a half hours in Cape Breton. Check this out:
