<description>&lt;p&gt;Funny they thank Congressman Waxman.  It&apos;s because of his efforts some decades ago that the federal support for subway tunneling in &quot;methane zones&quot; was ever included.  He claims it was due to concerns over the explosion at Ross Dress for Less at Fairfax and 3rd.  

However, it&apos;s pretty clear it was more concern of rich people of Hancock Park everything west of there that poor people be able to quickly and easily get to their hood on a subway.

Same reason the BART system stopped in SF and didn&apos;t got Marin or San Mateo.  

Now all that&apos;s changed and people realize that we need subways to help alleviate congestion.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
