Not sure what's wrong with guests. People could hide behind bogus names like "Malingering" I guess.

I think this is a great LA post. The whole "Making a left on a yellow you REALLY shouldn't" is a thing very that happens here more than Anywhere. I've lived in the south, midwest and east coast and none of those drivers make decisions like this with the wreckless abandon of LA drivers (not to mention the fact that its very well written). So, to the commenter above, maybe understand that a blog can go beyond "events in LA tonight" and "traffic on the 405" and still be considered "about Los Angeles".

"LAist is a website about Los Angeles and everything that happens in it. That means news and events, restaurants and bars, happenings and goings-on."

sooo... this is so we all know the best way to get into a car accident in los angeles?

seriously - i'm glad everyone is OK and a car accident is always one of those biggie life experiences.

stressful as it is, don't you think this belongs on myspace?

I had a head-on accident before, and instead of slow motion effect, I remembered it was more like a cannon shooting me out of its front end.

The accident was all my fault, and yet it's so funny to think about how the bystanders was on my side, and told the police that it was the other man that hits me. You can say I was stupid, but I did honestly told the police that it was my fault.

And even though you want those lookie-loos to leave you alone, try to get their numbers. I was in a similar accident and a couple of bystanders saved my ass by testifying for me when it was a case of he/said she/said. No matter what the other drivers say at the scene, now the lawyers and insurance people are going to start messing with everyone's heads. Good luck with everything.
