Watching this video requires a sense of humor which you're obviously lacking. Have you ever heard the word parody? Here, I'll help you out. From Wikipedia:
"In contemporary usage, a parody is a work that imitates another work in order to ridicule, ironically comment on, or poke some affectionate fun at the work itself, the subject of the work, the author or fictional voice of the parody, or another subject."
so youre saying Clay Aiken is a parody of himself?
clay aiken is a holy hell train wreck. my nightmares will be tainted by that footage for weeks to come, im certain of it. the claymates can claim this was a parody all they want... it's scary regardless.

So funny that haters just can't stay away from the man any more than the fans can. At least the fans have a normal reason for following him. What about the haters? Kind of makes me see them as the nuts, not Clay or his fans.

It is very funny how all the people who "hate him" take the time to watch him, read about him, write about him ... have nightmares about him. If you don't like him...If you don't get him or his fans...If you can't stand him..... LEAVE IT ALONE! Move on. Have a great life... If you get your kicks of of doing all this because you think it's funny, get a life.

Thanks for posting this very clear rendering of an amateur video. Wow.....Clay Aiken is hysterical. Where was he singing this? It seemed like it was outdoors. I guess I have always thought of him as the most talented male singer from all of the IDOL show ...and as a humanitarian who has his own foundation for kids with autism. Also, I have seen articles about his work as an ambassador for UNICEF. I didn't really know that he has such a great sense of humour. I don't think it brought out the best of the voice I remember from Idol, but, it sure showed a multi-talented performer. It appears that he has a very long career ahead of him. Are there any other videos from this event? Where would I find them? Thanks again for posting this. A friend sent it to me and I am so glad that he did.

What an amazing talent Clay is! Not only can he sing almost better than anyone, but he commands an audiences' attention and by the sheer power of his personality and his wonderful humor. He's so at ease on stage and in his own skin. I Love 'em. I would love to see Clay have his own TV show.

It's very simple, really.
LAist and other cowardly Internet bloggers make fun of Clay because it gets them hits. How? Because the Claymates and the Clayhaters come to their sites to either trash him, or defend him.
More hits equals more ad revenue.
I know it's a sport now, either defending or trashing Clay, but seriously, there are much more productive ways of spending time and/or entertaining yourself.

Clay has a great sense of humor. He does his own "thang" and flips his middle finger at the bullies. Bullies are cowards who run in packs. They're too chicken to stand alone.
