President Bush, with all due respect I don't feel like you have respected the American people, the US troops, or the Constitution during your reign, and it looks like you are only getting worse with each day that you stay in power.

By commuting convicted liar Scooter Libby's jail sentence (after a Republican prosecutor - who you appointed - was successful in proving Libby's guilt in the court of a Republican judge in front of a jury of Libby's peers) you have gone too far and have done something that one of our founders claimed to be basis for impeachment and removal.

Yesterday, the Daily Kos reminded us of something that that was said back in 1974 regarding presidents who pardon people who had done their dirty work.

In the [Constitutional] convention George Mason argued that the President might use his pardoning power to "pardon crimes which were advised by himself" or, before indictment or conviction, "to stop inquiry and prevent detection." James Madison responded:

[I]f the President be connected, in any suspicious manner, with any person, and there be grounds [to] believe he will shelter him, the House of Representatives can impeach him; they can remove him if found guilty...
