A.M. News: I Live Next to the Red Line & Don't Use It

Public Art at the Civic Center Red Line Station- According to the LA Times, people who live next to trains and subways do not use them.

- Eek! "From July 1 of 2006 to June 30 of this year, only 3.21 inches of rain fell in downtown Los Angeles — the lowest precipitation level since records started being kept in the 1880s."

- After 80 mph driving and weaving on the Hollywood Freeway in March, actress Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill, Independence Day) was arrested on suspicion of a DUI and called CHP Officers racists.

- The recall efforts for City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo have begun.

- Scientology is cited for location shooting problems on Bryan Singer's Valkyrie starring Tom Cruise as Col. Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg, the German Army officer who tried to blow up Hitler toward the end of World War II.

- Joel Siegel, the beloved film critic and entertainment editor of Good Morning America died of colon cancer on Friday.

In other news Hollywood, Downtown LA, Pasadena, North Hollywood, Universal City, and Long Beach officially count as nowhere.
