A.M. News: City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo The Cockblocker

grandtheftautodelgadillo.jpgSuburbia: 140-mile commute to LA and back, life in subsidized housing in Antelope Valley is of a different brand.

Douchebag: So this is where David E. Kelley gets his material for Boston Legal on ABC -- right here in LA where our own City Attorney stonewalls the simplest of yes or no questions. What an asshole, don't vote for this guy if he runs for anything. Another good example: he wasted money suing the Grand Theft Auto video game over hidden pornography. Really? What does that have to do with LA?

Obsession: Villaraigosa, Paris Hilton, Delgadillo (again), Obama, Schwarzenegger. All but one are politicians, yet all have something in common.

Counterprogramming: The background on You Kill Me, which opens in theaters this week.

You should be grateful for local politicos and their probs. Right now you have a 3 ring circus: Rocky messing up with (apparently) his wife's accident in a City vehicle and being fined for ethics violations related to campaign contribs; Lee Baca stepping on his dick over Paris Hilton; Mayor Tony at last getting his divorce; Council member Jack Weiss being threatened with recall over his relations with developers (all the while working to succeed Rocky as City Attorney). It's rich, I tell you. Enjoy!

Thanks for the AM news. I read the article on Obsession. Have you seen the new OBAMA GIRL - I LOVE OBAMA VIDEO? I found it on You Tube as one of the most popular comedy videos of the month, but its also as this website:

Villaraigosa is a media whore. I wouldn't mind so much if he wasn't so damn ineffective. Although, I suppose, it must be difficult actually doing something productive when you're always looking for the next camera to stand in front of.

The Weiss recall people really don't deserve this sort of attention, legitimizing them. They spun the fact that Weiss's office moved on neighbor's complaints to help neighbors (a plea heard in the Chicago Tribune, New York Post, you name it -- and by me as a neighbor!), into a nasty attack on him doing this on account of their recall drive. These people would hurt the other areas of Weiss' district and have behaved disreputably all along, starting with the false claims in the petition, mean personal attacks that ensure I wouldn't ever support them or anyone they can field. IF every homeowner group did what they tried to do -- negotiate/extort (cuz the developers complained to the City Council) with any developer in their hood, directly superceding the authority of the Councilmember and insulting him like spoiled brats when they didn't get their way, where would ours or any city be? So please don't attach their name to him every time you mention him.
