Jackie "The Joke Man" Tonight at the Canyon

For years he was Howard Stern's head writer. Of course that title pissed off Fred Norris, but that was all part of the multi-layered levels of fun that was the Stern show for a decade.

Either due to Jackie asking for too much money or of Jackie not wanting to wake up early every morning (something that Artie Lange is now complaining about), Martling was not resigned and in 2001 Lange was eventually hired to be the go-to joke guy.

Lange's surprising success might overshadow Jackie's contribution to America's most successful morning radio show, but true Stern fans know how important the Joke Man was to Howard's huge ratings.

Jackie was nice enough to answer some questions for us this week and if you're lucky you have a ticket to see him perform at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills at 8 p.m.
