I love mean chefs! I thought it was just Bourdain, but Ramsey is fantastic - when that guy said he looks like a Shar-pei I just about died. But really, Aaron exhibits all of the signs of out-of-control diabetes and I hope they have a Dr. on-set checking his blood sugar. I think he was having a petit-mal seizure when they were in the dining room and someone said, "He's not here."

I'm amazed how much I enjoy these cooking reality shows when I can't taste what they're cooking. They make it look so easy that it inspires me to want to cook. As for early favorites on "Top Chef," I'm going with the Marcel disciple who finished second last night.

I am DEFINITELY most excited about Top Chef. When we saw Bourdain was gonna be the special guest last night, we just about pooped ourselves with excitement - although I don't think they really let him off the leash as far as criticisms go. This year's group looks amazing. I felt really bad for the guy who got kicked off - he was clearly in over his head - but maybe he can find success on one of the other shows! Sooooo happy to have my chef shows back....
