Steve, as much as I hate the traffic here, I have to disagree.

In the United States, I seriously believe that L.A. has better drivers than all other major cities. The multitude of setting and conditions you have to drive in (excluding adverse weather) train people to be good drivers, however much they might not be courteous.

One thing I'll say is that L.A. people have a hard ass time when bad weather comes through ... as would be expected, though, since we barely ever get any!

people don't know how to drive worth sh!t here in LA. they're too busy on their cell phone, sending emails on their blackberry, and not letting you into the lane.

people complain about traffic, but most people want their own car so they can go where they want when they want.

read about how the train systems in LA were shut by General Motors so that they could sell more cars, trucks, busses, and tires.

google it!

We need a good public transportation system in LA, but cars are always going to be a huge part of getting around here. People need to live closer to where they work.

I hope that
a) bottlenecks get worse, and
b) gas prices go higher

How bad will it have to get before we get public transportation?

Man, that's what I said the last time there was a traffic/transportation post.

None of these politicians have balls. No one can suggest something that doesn't go against the grain. Suck it up you pansies! Nobody likes this shit. Not the rich people, not the poor people, not the middle class people. Put some tolls on the road and make people pay them. Charge people to drive through downtown. Charge truckers.

Take the lead!
