This weekend we were enjoying televised entertainment when we happened to notice Prince doing a Verizon ad. Does Prince even do ads? Whatever, it worked on us, we watched, we enjoyed, it was great.

Until the end when it seemed like the ad company totally ripped off LA gossip blog Pink is the New Blog by stenciling a light-colored purple "Be A Music Hunter" on its final image. Unless PITNB's Trent is being paid some sort of Art Designer or Creative Consultant fee, we're going to have to go ahead and call foul. As if!

In more Prince news, Hotel Chatter is reporting that although rumors of Prince's seven Fridays at The Roosevelt concert series was supposed to begin this Friday, that will probably not happen. Which is fine for us, because we still think that the tickets will be super expensive and this gives us an extra week to save up.

Although it would be nice to hope that a night of Prince playing, followed by dinner, followed by Prince playing jazz... all to a small, small crowd... could possibly only cost $31.21, unless Verizon sponsored every night, we see the tickets climbing closer to $3,121.

Which is why we still have to live a life of crime.
