If people weren't so fascinated with this shit, they might actually realize the great injustice that is taking place here.

Similar events used to foment revolution. Now, the only way to get people out into the street is to have Michael Jackson in court for another baby-rape trial.

You know I'm no great fan of Paris Hilton, but a friend of mine was picked up recently for the SECOND DUI -- not just driving without a suspension. He spent less than 24 hours in jail because of it. He is not famous and didn't spend money for a fancy attorney, just a mom and pop law firm. This is the LA system, she did not get special treatment.

not that i don't enjoy the paris-bashing, but people often are sent to house arrest after serving a small percentage of their jail time not because they're famous but because the california prison system is insanely overpopulated. one could use paris's being able to go home early to call attention to the problems with the prisons...something like, "reform drug laws so we can keep paris in jail for her entire term!"

Although none of them were needed, many discussions with other Deputy Sheriff's have taken place. Every Deputy Sheriff does not think or believes...JUST KNOWS this is BULLSHIT! Everyone who goes to jail has severe anxiety, trauma, stress..etc. We can accommodate everyone! We have no choice! That is our job! What the hell are they trying to say to the public in LA!!! Talk about accommodating! Even in the finest facilities with the most resources our inmates don't get to see a counselor of any type more than once a week let alone 2 days in a row! This is crap ...PERIOD!

Kudos to her. Who wants to be in jail?

If I could get out of it by feigning psychological distress and then go back to being rich and having fun, I would fuckin' do it too!

Double standard indeed. Lil' Kim can get one year for basically lying, but this heffa gets off after spending 2 days in jail and cryin' and moanin' like a bytch. That's not hot. I guess it's okay to disregard all the rules of driving and licensing and also drive intoxicated endangering lives of all motorists around you and get off basically scot free. The justice system in LA is a travesty, a serious joke. You let that would have been anybody else. They would have served the whole 45 days and then some. The Justice system and those in in really need to get their acts together.

If Paris is too mentally weak to survive a few days alone in jail, why can't we cull her from the pack and leave her in the desert to die or something. I'm getting very afraid that she's going to breed (with lord knows who or what) and that the genetic devolution of our species will continue unabated.

How many inmates at county have mental or physical heath problems and are basically told to suck it up and make due with the jail's medical facility. I find it completely incredulous that Paris Hilton suffers from something so dire that it cannot be treated within the system.

I bet this whole thing is motivated by some ridiculous "fear of litigation" by the Sheriff's Department.

This is absolutely intolerable. If it was issued by the sherrif himself I'm sure a huge payoff was involved.
Lawyers, you may start you appeals for the rest of the probation violators. All whom I'm sure would rather serve their sentence at home instead of jail.
