Why We Love LA: Morning Ocean Trips with Seals & Dolphins

We rely on the kindness of strangers to show us their version of Los Angeles. Today, via Outdoors Club, we met a member of the Fairwind Yacht Club (a very cool organization if you like sailing, but don't own a boat) who took out a group of folks on a breakfast cruise. And here is what we saw...

Okay, enough seals for the moment. Backing up a bit, we started our journey in Marina del Rey, which we know is not Los Angeles city proper, but for the purposes of this photo essay, LA is the LA area. Here we are filling up on gas at the boat gas station (actually, this photo is off cleaning out the, uhhhh, bowels.

Hey UCLA!

These soon-to-be condos/apartments look very expensive and not that fun to live in because most of them do not have balconies with water views. Boo!

There were so many dolphins to see today. At one point, we found ourselves in the path of a pod of 30-50 dolphins. Unfortunately, dolphin photography is not our expertise.
