plus with an album that debuted at #1 despite being on an indie label and selling out the greek for two nights and being praised by pretty much everyone who pays attention to music LAist isnt alone in giving it up to a band of multiinstrumentalists who create good creative music. but dont worry, Rufus, i will review the avril lavigne record for you, settle down.

Although I think Arcade Fire is an awesome band, you really shouldn't count on this site to provide valid, unbiased opinions on anything. LAist is basically a blog; the writers tell you about what they think rocks and what they think sucks. Obviously, Tony really really likes Arcade Fire. That is about all you should have taken away from his post on them. To be fair, when it comes to factual information, LAist does do a good job. And the opinion-based stuff can be entertaining. And Malingering rules.
