Leah Muse is a young wife whose husband just happens to be an up-and-coming rock star, signed to Orange County's Northern Records. The band, Quiet Company is on their summer tour and we were lucky enough to have Leah write about what it's like being the only girl in a van full of bearded rockers.

Some of you ladies that have hopes of dating a rockstar, are currently dating a rockstar, even married a rockstar- may dream or have had dreams of going out on the open road with your lover. It seems romantic to drop everything that you've got and to hit cities while supporting your mate night after night. And it is- sort of.

When my husband decided that it was now or never to quit our jobs and to make music his full time career or at least try to, I knew that I would have to be there with him for the ride no matter what. That wasn't really something that I had to think about. What I did have to think about and ask myself was if I would be able to survive this adventure.

Let's do the math.

Husband + 2 other band members + a van + no privacy = for an unknown amount of time = ?

I honestly didn't think that I had it in me. I thought that every day would be more hours where I was wishing I were somewhere else- by myself. Being in such close captivity with three boys for almost every waking minute was not something that I found myself being excited for. You could say that I was not seeing the bright side of things.

I've been out on the road for two weeks now with months and months ahead of me and here is what I've learned.

It is not romantic to eat off the dollar menu every chance you get and then have the stomach aches to follow. It is not romantic to sleep on the floor of a stranger's house with a snoring band mate only a few feet away. And no, it is not romantic to dry off with a wet towel that belongs to someone that you met a few hours earlier.

What I will say is that it's amazing to travel and explore new cities with my husband by my side. I enjoy watching the band perform night after night and feeling how the energy of the room transforms with each song. And most most most of all- I love knowing that I am beside someone that is truly following their dreams and trying to make things happen for themselves.

So yeah, it's totally worth it for me.
