I remember this show being one of those transfixing horrors that I could not turn away from as a child, desperately as I may have wanted to. My brother, two and a half years younger than I, was even more unnerved by it, refusing to stay in the room when it was on. For my own part, I was far more unsettled by Mr. Rogers than I ever was by these daffy human-stuffed, larger than life-sized muppets.
