that was an amazing speech!
we were definitely lucky to have S.Lo deliver speech. I meant to ask him if he got another Giuseppe Franco makeover (www.latimes.com/news/local/politics/cal/la-me-lopez5nov05,0,1612332,full.column) just for the occasion but he was out of there too quick.
Caught the end of Ted Koppel's speech for USC's entire graduating class and was disappointed in how safe and lame it appeared to be. Not so with Lopez, who described Tribune's new owner as looking like a fired Santa's helper.
