Bike to Work Week is May 14 - 18 and LAist encourages you to take part. If you usually don't bike around town and are tentative about doing so, take a risk, explore your neighborhood, find good and bad routes, see things you never saw from a car, burn more calories, eat more food, pump those legs and do something green.

I am at home today. I'm at home today because I was riding my bike to work this morning and someone shot out in front of me and I flew across their frigging hood. I try to make an effort to use less gas and not be such a fat-ass and the city of Los Angeles rewards me with the hood of an Acura. Will I be riding my bike to work next week? No.
