One Bank, Many Museums

The Japanese Garden at the Huntington Library

It's been a FleetBank tradition since 1998, as mentioned by our sister site Bostonist, but Bank of America has brought its annual "Museums on Us" promotion to Cali for the first time.

Throughout the month of May, you'll be able to get into many Southland museums for free by showing your B of A ATM, check, or credit card, or MBNA credit card. So for once, the card that typically drains your bank account will actually give you something back.

Included on the list of freebies are the Huntington Library, Autry National Center, and Skirball Center in LA, as well as OCMA and Laguna Art Museum in OC, among many others. Given the hotter than Hades weather we've had lately, an air-conditioned museum doesn't sound half bad.

Clearly Bank of America realized that it needed to throw its loyal customers a bone after subjecting cyberspace to the most warped version of U2's "One" ever while celebrating last fall's purchase of MBNA. I’m guessing Bono probably does his banking at WaMu.
