LAist Hearts UCLA Gymnastics

Due to popular demand after LAist's appearance on Rogan and Simers Squared, we present some additional coverage of the UCLA women's gymnastics team from this weekend's NCAA Championships.

The Bruins finished fourth in the nation, thank in part to a strong performance by Tasha Schwikert (left) who came in second on the uneven bars. She completed a Shaposhnikova to shootover half to handstand, Tkatchev, perfect handstands and a stuck double layout dismount. Lost yet? We're not exactly sure what that means, either, but you can watch this video of her routine from last month.

If nothing else, Schwikert clearly has better balance then we do, nailing this score of 9.9 on the beam. That's nothing compared to teammate Anna Li, who ended up 9th in the nation.
