Will Britney Spears Begin Her Long Awaited Comeback with Three Shows at the House of Blues?

britney spears wishes her wig was as good as that one

Three mysterious shows are listed on the Ticketmaster and the House of Blues websites. An unknown act called "The M+M's" will be playing three shows next week across Southern California.

Just Jared believes he has the scoop with something he posted early this morning:

Brit Brit has a packed schedule coming up — she will be performing with a handful of back-up dancers under the alias “The M+M’s” at the House of Blues in San Diego on May 1st, House of Blues Anaheim on May 2nd, and House of Blues Sunset Strip on May 3rd.
Unless it's a terribly devious hoax, whoever the act is, they have to be somewhat popular since the ticket price is $35 and nobody knows who it is.

If it indeed turns out to be a hoax, wouldn't you think that HOB would be held partially responsible for allowing people to think that they were buying tickets to Britney Spears' wig-sporting comeback?

Well, LAist believes in Just Jared so we picked up a pair of tickets. We don't recommend you doing the same unless more information is revealed.

But we will certainly know for sure on May 1 after the San Diego show, which means if it really is a Britney show, expect mayhem in Anaheim the next day, and a paparazzi feeding frenzy on May 3rd here in LA.

Although how funny would it be if these were actually Eminem's comeback shows?

Update: we're being told that Celeb Slam first broke this story, so we're going to them with our refund demand if they're wrong. :)
