Arctic Monkeys to play Troubadour on Sunday

Don't you just love Secret Shows? If you can't make it to Coachella on Friday to see the Arctic Monkeys (who we now know will be sandwiched quite nicely between the Silversun Pickups and the Jesus and Mary Chain on the main stage), the much-hyped Brits will be playing a few days later on Sunday at the historic Troubadour.

People swear there's still a few tickets left if you click here and use the password "brianstorm", but it sure seems sold out to us.

The UK has delivered some big new artists over the last year but they've almost entirely been female (Corinne Bailey Rae, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Lady Sovereign), it will be interesting to see what the Monkeys can do with their sophomore effort, Favourite Worst Nightmare, that comes out today and got a pretty sweet review from Pitchfork.

Above, their new single, "Brianstorm". After the jump, the fans helping out on "When the Sun Goes Down" at the Redding Festival.

Great, although it should be the famous "Reading" and Leeds festival not the "Redding" festival.
