I park on the street. And although, one time in my friends car, even though she proudly displays her dodger blanket over the back seat. Someone still felt like keying it. Besides that I have never had any break-in problems. I also don't ever leave anything to steal. And you're almost always walking with others around you, so I don't think being mugged for your digital camera and watch would ever be a problem. They did briefly open lot 13, on opening day, for all to park in. It was only 5 bucks and fairly easy to exit. But unfortunately, it's only been open for employees in the couple of other times I have tried to park there. I'm not gonna tell you where I park, cause its my spot!

But I wonder, if you took the Chinatown metro stop, then walked up College St over to Chavez Ravine, then a quick left on Stadium Way, Its about a mile to the stadium entrance. Or about a 20 min walk.

I believe in Vin Skully!

I also think that when they give people those little flags and reflective vests, they also take out the part of the brain that knows that cars are Big Things that don't move so much in inches as in FEET.

1.4642 miles here -- we did it Sat nite beers in hand... no flashlight required upon return and no Elysian Park boogeyman encounters even!

From our front door to the top deck seats is 2.2268 miles. Blessed are we with that distance and the feet upon which to walk it whenever attending a game.

Ouch. that would be a bad idea. Hey, y'know Simers is always talking about having a buddy at Jackson limo. Think he'd dare help a blogger out? It's not like we've been too nice to Kobe lately or anything ;-)

I parked on the streets for several years. Then one day I went to my car and 8 cars on the side street where I'd parked had been broken into, windows smashed, vandalised, etc. I had a 15 year old car at the time, so I didn't care. But now I have a brand new car and I am not willing to take the risk. That and I go to games alone, and being 100lbs and carrying $1500 in camera equipment walking alone at in the dark around Elysian Park is a bad idea.

i parked on sunset right at elysian park on sunday.
glory as i was able to kill calories as i walked a little bit, but also cause i had an extra $15 to make up for those 40 calories.

take the time to get there a bit early to find parking on one of the many side streets. plus you get to walk by and laugh at the people who "followed the rules"

people just assume that the only way to parking is via the dodgers parking when there are many other options, although not publicized anywhere, even on the internet

You know, I have read so much about the parking disasters, but I went the other day and it took all of 15 minutes each way from the freeway to my parking space - I timed it. (I arrived during the 1st and left after the game ended.)

There's always the option in which you save both money & time (and get a good workout in the process).

Try parking on Academy before Stadium Way or on Stadium Way between Scott & Elysian.
