Trivia: Although popular folklore asserts that Jerry Garcia played pedal steel on this #10 Billboard hit, I'm pretty sure that "Oh, Mommy (I Ain't No Commie)" was his only credited contribution to Brewer & Shipley's 1970 album, "Tarkio." That's close enough for today.

The Great Smokeoff by Shel Silverstein. Yes the same Shel Silverstein that wrote "A light in the Attic" and "Where the sidewalk ends" made a song about smoking the reefer.
