This video was posted by a disturbed San Diego fan after seeing some not-so-classy behavior in Chavez Ravine. Not that rowdy fans are anything new, but something about the tone of LA fans should be improved.
We all expect Dodger Stadium to start clearing out in the seventh inning, except for those fans who sauntered in around the fourth and still haven't finished their Dodger Dog. As if the local reputation for bandwagon fans wasn't enough, what sort of baseballs does it take for locals to carry themselves like a bitter hockey fan?
Giants fan always chant "Beat LA" when a game goes down between two of the greatest rivals in the history of sports. They print it on shirts, hats, and souvenir cups. But Dodger Stadium echoes back "Giants Suck" in a cheer far less reverent of a rivalry that literally chased itself across the country. Try putting that on some overpriced kids t-shirts.
LAist was at the Freeway Series between the Boys in Blue and the Angels and saw Southern California fans in their full glory. During a fight one fan was knocked down eight flights of stairs. Now, we're starting to wonder if it's contagious.
Could it get any worse? Maybe, if Beckham brings the soccer hooligans.
Kudos to Jeff Gilmore for finding the video above.

Soccer hooligans? You've got the wrong football. Its all the Raider fans bringing their "Raider Nation" behavior to Dodger Stadium even since Al Davis abandoned them. (If I were mean, I would add the comment "just like their fathers did," but I'm not, so I won't.) I was never so ashamed to be a Dodger fan as when that Giant fan was shot in the parking lot a couple of seasons ago. I know that 99.5% of Dodger fans cheer realize that its just a sporting event. You know, mindless entertainment. But that .5% ruins it for all. One bad apple, you know...
ok that was bad, but to be fair this is the Padres we're talking about. They are our mortal enemies after last season. Wearing a Padres cap to Chavez Ravine is like Bruce Willis in Die Hard 3 wearing that sign in Harlem...
It's fucking baseball. Who cares whose meaningless logos you spend money on to wear mindlessly? Sports tends to have the effect of inducing mob mentality on those fans who have lower than average intelligence, as evidenced by this video. Not that I'm bashing on stupid people; it's all society and genetics' fault anyway, right?
I was sitting in the next section. There seemed to be some mockery and boobie shaking that was going on by the female Padres fan. Tehy were being pelted with food and she just kept on taunting, which only made it worse. You have to use some common sense in these situations.
