American Idol: Sayonara Sanjaya

The many faces of Sanjaya

So tonight was the night. Sanjaya Malakar was finally voted off the American Idol island. We knew that his 15 minutes of fame had to end eventually, but we thought Votefortheworst.com and Howard Stern could keep him on the show for at least a few more weeks. But all good things must come to an end. So we bid Sanjaya "adieu" and hope that his career goes a little further than, say, Justin Guarini's.

Other random AI notes:

>> We liked Fergie's performance better than Martina McBride's.
>> We were a bit shocked that LaKisha was in the bottom two. We think Chris Richardson -- who's bringing nasally back -- had a lamer performance Tuesday night.
>> During Sanjaya's tearful goodbye song, he sang, "Let's give them something to talk about...besides the hair..." Really? How could he think that he'd show up on stage with a fauxhawk and we wouldn't talk about it?
>> Lastly, we believed Simon (who was tearing up) when he explained his eye rolling during Chris's Virginia Tech shout out.

American Idol Voted Off News

Hey Dumbass, Of course we wish 'Jaya success, but what are you talking about going further than Justin Guarini? He's done well...

Guarini was on the show about 6 years ago and you still think to refer to him. OH WAIT maybe you though t of him because he's still on television hosting 2 shows each week. And then they are rerunning the first season again. Oh, and he's got a new cd, his third, in the works.

Know what you are talking about before you go serving up the disrespect.
