Tough Cookies 28, Fight Crew 23
In one of the most aggressive fall-done games, both teams stayed neck and neck throughout the first half. Then in the 3rd Quarter, Fight Crew slipped (and fell) and let their score fall 5 points behind the Tough Cookies. In the 4th quarter with less than 4 minutes to go, Fight Crew started to close the gap at 2 points behind. Tough Cookies resisted and celebrated with their last boxes of Samoas and Thin Mints.

Next Game: Meet the Baby Dolls
This next Saturday is the first Baby Dolls brawl, featuring the newest and freshest skaters. According to veteran Dolls, this game will be one of the rougher and tougher bouts. New girls equal harder falls. Hell yeah.

Screw the Dodgers, I'm going to the Dollhouse
At Saturday's game we met two travel editors from The Charlotte Observer and Hemispheres Magazine (United Airline's in-flight magazine). They wanted to check out Little Tokyo instead of the Dodgers and in a "journalistic fluke" they came upon the Derby Dolls on the top floor of the Little Tokyo Shopping Center. Amazed and fascinated at this underground sport, they stuck around and sucked up the atmosphere. It was a different world, an exciting place -- they were buzzed. Have you got your Doll buzz on yet?
