Clay set a standard that no one else can match. Not before, now,or ever again. His vocal range has impressed even symphony musicians he's performed with. He's simply magnificent and the BEST performer I've ever seen live (and that's against people like Celine, Sinatra, Bennett, McCartney, and the list goes on). Clay is magical, and that's why people go to multiple shows. His voice is phenomenal and he's funny and bonds with the audience in a way I've never experienced before. Don't dare say that Kiki is a better singer--you're making a fool out of yourself. And no one will even take you seriously anymore.

"Chexxy's Diaper" - what an appropriate name seeing as how your soul seems to be in the toilet. Clay Aiken's career is doing just fine, thank you very much. He has more fans than ever & hasn't even been promoted internationally yet, is still a touring powerhouse, is working on a new pop CD, is a proven multi-platinum recording artist & best-selling author, has quite a few industry awards & his sales have broken records. He also has the respect of some of the biggest names in the business who know a unique, world-class voice when they hear it. And do I even have to mention all the well-known charities that have asked him to be their spokesperson or Ambassador, along with the foundation that he created & runs himself for children with disabilities. Long after you, dear Diaper, have expired in front of your PC in your skidmarked underwear with cheesey poof crumbs stuck in your fat creases, after typing your last failed attempt to bring down a truly good person, Clay will be a music legend. And you will only be a sad, forgotten vomit stain on the world wide web. And here's a hint: anyone who believes tabloid stories deserves to be lied to. As for Kiki, she is one of the few gifted Idol vocalists this year (Melinda, Jordin & possibly Phil are the others), but that's not saying much in a season as lame as this one. Playing all of Clay's Idol performances against hers would prove how much she sounds like a thousand other black gospel divas (nothing wrong with that), & how gorgeous & singular Clay's voice was, is & will always be. Listen to his recordings of SOLITAIRE, MARY DID YOU KNOW, PROUD OF YOUR BOY, O COME O COME EMMANUEL, LOVER ALL ALONE, ALL IS WELL & so many others. My God, if you can't hear it, then I suggest a quick call to Miracle Ear. I am a vocal coach & used to sing professionally. But it doesn't take a pro to realize that Clay's talent is undeniable.

First of all I am a huge Clay fan. I Think Lakisha is a wonderful singer but she has not chosen the right songs for several weeks and I think that will hurt her in the end. Especially since Jorden and Melinda are both very good singers with similar styles. They are stepping up their game while Lakiska peaked too early. As far as comparing them to Clay their voices are very different and compare them to Clay really doesn't make any since. It would be like comparing Clay to Ruben. They both sing beautifully but are very different in the style. So this comment really makes no sense. As far as Sanjaya goes, I can see his appeal to young girls and they could make him a teenage hearttrob. Afterall they have been many successful teenage singers who really could not sing that well, can we say Britney? But he will not win American idol but I think he has made it an interesting season in an otherwise boring competition.

I have an idea? Get one or more of your friends/family to get you to go and sit through one of Clay's concerts (one coming near you this summer)...AND if you leave the concert still believing that Clay can't sing as good as Lakisha I will be completely shocked...Are you up for the challenge? All the people coming to his concerts (I have been to 5) PACK each and every one!!. This fact surely shows that his career is only getting stronger with each year! Why are so many people so preoccupied with Clay, and his private life, but just don't GET how gifted he is? Instead, writing the ongoing painful garbage that is spewed at him!!. He has the most incredible voice out there today!!...He has NO competition...Go online and listen to some of his old songs from before he became runner up at AI...Even listen to his stuff from when he was still in high school... This kid has a gift from God like noone I have ever listened to...AND he LOVES his fans, AND he LOVES helping young people with disabilities, AND he works for UNICEF AND he founded the BUBEL/AIKEN foundation for handicapped children....All that he is about is LOVE and helping others...That is why his fans LOVE him back, AND why as time goes by he will just keep getting more FANS!!... Maybe even you, huh? Like I said, go to one of his concerts, and see for yourself...You will be singing a different tune... Susie

Clay's the trick to getting hits, it's old news now. They've got to learn to be nice to the guy before they start getting better comments. :) I like Lakisha. I like Jordin and Melinda better. However, Clay's more my personal taste, so I'd always enjoy his music, his voice, his style, everything, more than all three of the above. Sanjaya...seems like a nice kid and making the most of his opportunity as anyone would in his shoes. No, I don't think the kid can sing well. Inconsistent, yes, kinda weird too. I like Jordin. I hope it comes down to her and Melinda. They will both do honor to the 'crown' if you will.

I love Sanjaya's hair. He seems to be a real cutie even though I haven't watched AI since season 3. Season 2 was the best--Ruben, Clay, Kim L were all talented. Even Josh Gracin, Kim C, Trenyce, Ricky Smith, Carmen, they were all so much fun to watch perform. I loved that season. Judy, I have to agree with you about Kelly Clarkson--have seen her in concert and she sucks. Her band is so loud she's not singing, she's screaming to be heard and she only has a 4 word vocabulary WOO HOO and COOL BEANS. Not very entertaining.

Carrie is great but Kelly is really bad in concert. She doesn't even talk to the crowd except to yell wassup? or WooHoo! My Next Song Is... blech. She doesn't dance or anything either, she just jumps up and down. I love Carrie and her concert performances are beautiful. She even plays guitar on some songs and talks to the crowd so we get to know her. Anyway carrie is beautiful and not fat like Kelly.

You can't really compare some of the styles on this year's show or compare them with past contestants. Lakisha and Clay are very different and both very good...Clay wins the performer/enterainer department hands down, though. Interesting how not too many mention Carrie or Kelly...the most successful Idol winners. They are both amazing and have made it as singers and performers...not just entertainers. I am sure the idol folks including Simon are happy about that.

I think we should take up a collection to get Tony appointments with both ear and eye specialists. Phil a boy band reject? Uh no. LaKisha the only good singer this year? Good lord, no, that would be Melinda. LaKisha ten times the singer Clay is? Again, no, never in a million years. She's more comparable to that season's Trenyce, a competent singer who is 100% karaoke, sounding very much like the original singer she is basing her performance on. And LaKisha was terrible last night, easily the worst of the night, worse than Sanjaya.

I watch AI now and I think the only marketable idols are Blake and I hate to say Sanjaya(not because he can sing but because he’s smart enough to make ppl interested in watching what he is going to do next with his hair.. I guess he’ll get his place in the entertainment industry.. that’s why simon cowell said that he didn’t hate his performance last week.. he saw some dough coming out of that skinny kid.. as for blake he got an interesting personality.. he got his own music style which appeals to young ppl “I’m young but I don’t like his music style” ..he’s marketable any way.. Milinda and Lakisha are good vocalists Malinda is better than lakisha “ she is not better than Clay by the way” but the problem with them is their lack of personality… I like their voices but I don’t see myself buying their CDs unless they do something really phenomenal.. Any ways.. I see that this season of AI is a big failure .. Nothing appealing there.. you can’t see any body selling lot’s of cds in the future ..It ‘s so CAREOKI.. Recently I finished watching previous seasons of AI an this is what I think.. in season one Kelly, justin, tamyra really stood out season two was full of talents.. Ruben, Clay, Kim Lo, Joshua, Trenys, Carmen.. etc.. almost all the top 10 were very talented.. seson 3.. I only liked J Hudson, Fantasia, Latoya season 4,, only Bo and carrie season five,, DAUGHTRY.. is the real deal.. not great vocals but his music rocks.. he’s professional any way.. pickler was kinda cute.. Yamin was nice.. as for Hicks and Mcphee.. well they’re not bad.. but not a big fan of them.. He is the reason why I watch Idol now.. I read some where that there are fans who are travelling from japan to USA only to attend some of his Concerts… He’s Gonna last cuz he’s talented, his musical style is classical pop.. you never get enough of this style.. beside he seems to be a very nice person no matter what others say :)

I think this writer has a 'tin-ear' or another agenda. Melinda Doolittle is way too good for this competition-just as Clay was. To say LaKisha is 'ten times' the singer as Clay was ridiculous. Apparently this writer has not really listened to Clay--or Melinda, at all. Also, as most people realize now-Clay won that competition by millions of votes over Ruben. Two producers all but admitted it. And Clay has proven it many times over since that fateful night. Isn't it funny--the very next year (AI3) the competitors had two-three phone lines each and an extra 2 hours of voting. The producers didn't want another debacle that happened during AI2.
