LAst Night's Action: Lakers Lay Easter Egg

This just wasn't cute.Suns 115, Lakers 107 - Kobe led the game with 34 points, but Steve Nash used his 50th double-double (25 points, 11 assists) of the season to lead Phoenix past the Lakers. Los Angeles has now lost five times in the last seven games and fell to the seventh seed in the West. They're half a game behind Denver, who will host the Lakers on Monday.

Dodgers 10, Giants 4 - Journeymanstar Luis Gonzalez hit two home runs and drove in four en route to a Dodger route of San Francisco. It's the eight straight time the boys in blue have won in Pac Bell/SBC/[Phone Company of the Week] Park. Barry Zito dropped his second straight start and Barry Bonds was 1-4 with an RBI single.

Athletics 2, Angels 1 - The final 11 Anaheim hitters failed to reach base, and for the 21st time in the last 42 games this rivalry was decided by just one run. With the A's win, the teams split the four game series. The Angels head to Cleveland for a three game series starting Tuesday.

Elsewhere - With the second seed in the West, Anaheim will face Minnesota in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs ... Forget gyroball, this may be the ultimate pitching weapon ...The Dodgers will honor the past, and probably confuse a few fans. And if you've been reading LAist, you'd know there's a lot being said about other players wearing number 42 (or not).
