We could not be more impressed with all the restaurants going out of their way to create a veggie burger from scratch or at least deck the hell out of store-bought ones. From Stanley's in Sherman Oaks to Tiny's K.O. bar in Hollywood, LA is embracing the veggie burger.

But who does it best? On that list is Lucky Devils at 6613 Hollywood Blvd., near Whitley:

A delicious blend of 26 ingredients, sautéed portobello mushrooms, basmati rice, & grated red beets, topped with Vermont cheddar, caramelized onions, fresh avocado, and our special dressing on a toasted artisan brioche bun.

Yeah, it's $13.50, but very well worth it.

Other items of interest (non-veggie included) are the toasted pecan shake, kobe bacon bleu burger, kobe chili cheese fries, organic rosemary turkey burger, classic grilled cheese (white Vermont cheddar and swiss gruyère -- same cheese used in their mac & cheese) and spicy tomato soup.

Oh yeah, over 30 choices of beer (mostly microbrews), 14 of those on tap.
