Clippers 90, Lakers 82 - LA's teams seem like they're headed in opposite directions. Kobe had 29, but the Clippers had five players in double digits. After the showdown at Staples, the Clippers have won seven of eight while the Lakers have dropped four of their last five. Both teams sit towards the bottom of the playoff field, with the Clippers (now a .500 team) only trailing their arena mate by a game and a half.
Sharks 3, Ducks 2, SO - Anaheim jumped out to a 2-0 lead, only to watch it all slip away. Teemu Selanne was busted for using an illegal stick (it was too long) as the teams headed into overtime
Dodgers 5, Brewers 4 - Jason Schmidt got his first W as a Dodger and the team got their first W in 2007. Schmidt gave up one run in five innings of work, escaping a bases-loaded jam to finish his final frame.
Angels 5, Rangers 3 - The Halos put up 4 runs in the first inning and that was all they would need. Sammy Sosa didn't play after going 1 for 7 with three strikeouts in the first two games.
Elsewhere - It's not too early to look at the 2008 NCAA hoops rankings. One ESPN commentator has UCLA #2 and USC #6.
