As you might have seen by our excitement to get the Aqua Teen Hunger Force's music playlist yesterday, we're stoked that the Adult Swim cartoon is going to come out with a full-length movie on Friday the 13th.
So we were super excited when they contacted us to tell us that we can give away an ATHF prize package to one lucky LAist reader.
Gentlepeople, behold, the package includes: an ATHF beach ball, koozie, sticker, poster, post card, socks, and a CD sampler.
Yes, we did say socks!
Now our favorite character is Frylock and not just because he looks so cool, but because we frickin love french fries.
So to enter this contest, simply tell us where the best place to get french fries in LA is.
The deadline is at 4:20pm on Friday the 13th, the day the movie opens, so get on it. The winner will be announced the next Monday.

It truly depends on your fry style. If you like crispy fries I'd go for Pinks. If it's Diner style thicker I'd go for Jan's on Beverly near La Cienega they're never raw tasting and frozen inside. Somebody cares.

bourgeoisie french fries are for babies. keep it real with the old staple. them shits are cheap, fast and chronic.
Well, for political and taste reasons, In and Out is always a favorite.
If I'm feeling hoity toity, I love to go to the rotating cocktail bar at the top of the Westin Boneventure and get their fries and bernaise sauce. Yum.
Best fries handsdown in Los Angeles is... SKOOBY'S on Hollywood Blvd near Schrader. I defy anyone saying that any others are anywhere near better. They good even when cold!

Father's office french fries on Montana in Santa Monica are heaven on a plate...sinmply delicious, and you get to wash them down w/ a cool, high alchy content beer.
Just to be original, I'll say the fries at Formosa Cafe are the best...particularly with a bit of truffle oil...

Pig 'N Whistle on Hollywood Blvd. has the best fries in the universe. Or at least out of any that I've tasted.

Pie-N-Burger in Pasadena.
They are so good. Amazing texture, and the go so well with the Pie-N-Burger thousand island sauce.

Pig n' Whistle fries ARE amazing. I've only had them once but they were amazing. Kind of fancy. The fries I always return to are Fat Burger fries.

Gotta try the Wet Fries at The Hut (Pasadena, San Gabriel, East LA, etc.) before you make up your mind. How could you go wrong with such de luxe starch and grease concoction?

Perhaps an unlikely place to find them, but the best fries in LA can be found at the Standard Hotel (Downtown or Sunset). It's like they've managed to transform an Andy Capp hot fry (minus the hot part) into a real French fry... Delicious.
I'm also told the fries at Ketchup are good, but I'm thinking it's the idea of having 5 versions of ketchup to dip them in that is the real winner there...
Well I for one have to throw my vote in for Oki Dog. All the food is nice and bad for you, and the fries taste amazing. Especially with a chili cheeseburger.
And as an added bonus, the decor looks like a cross between Meatwads room and what I imagine the inside of Carls car trunk looks like... perfect...

Some say the best fries are the blue cheese smothered fries found at Pete's Cafe downtown. However, if we're talking about simply American-style "french fries" the BEST ones can be found at the McDonald's restaurant at 14850 Victory Blvd. Van Nuys, CA. The best! I don't wanna hear any smack about McDonald's. We all know their fries are bomb!
The BEST FRIES AWARD in this wonderful city of Angels belongs to....(drum roll please).....Father's Office in Santa Monica. I am fries lover, and have tasted and sampled many in my life. But none has ever captured my taste buds like the fries from Father's Office. So crispy, so golden, and oh so gooooooood!!!!
