Colbert's amazing speech was for the White House Correspondents Dinner, sponsored by the White House Correspondents' Association. They neutered themselves this year by having Rich Little as their featured entertainer. This song and dance was for the Radio-Television Correspondents. Different, less prestigious organization and a much easier ticket to get. The WHCA is the one where all the news organizations pull out the stops to invite the year's notables and newsmakers. And, this year's exception aside, the WHCA usually has better entertainment.</p>
