who was the dipsh*t that laid out cones such that a corner apex after a straight was directly against a solid barrier wall? zero runoff area - brilliant...

I love the explanation that Griffin does this all the time and he has "a really good insurace policy"...no if he had done what the fools on here are claiming, thats called insurance fraud, and it wouldn't get by anybody. There is no way this is anything but an accident. His people wouldn't have allowed it, the studio wouldn't have risked the possible fallout and the death of an actor. To think anything otherwise shows you are either insanely stupid or incredibly easily to persuade.

I don't think anyone would risk the likelihood of severe injury to a name performer in such an accident-regardless any insurance policy. The cones lead toward the wall and away again in a negotiable arc. He was simply going too fast into the corner. You can see the wheels lose traction into the turn. At some point into the turn, Eddie Griffin was simply a passenger and no longer had control. You might argue that going too fast was their intention, but I don't think risking Eddie Griffin would have been worth it. That's the problem with all these stupid shows like Punk'd--and even Candid Camera. It's made skeptics of us all. You won't believe it when it's your own funeral. It makes light of honest emotions and calls it entertainment. It's drowning your dog just to make you cry. It's unintelligent humor.

Okay, a few things. First, there were only 400 Enzo's made and if this guy totaled one to promote his movie there is a special circle of hell set aside just for him. I will never watch another movie with either Sadek or Griffin involved just because of that. Second, he so badly overcooked that corner it doesn't matter where he had the wheels pointed, that means either he's a moron or well .. a moron. Thirdly, if you watch the video it doesn't ever look like the wheels slow. Even with antilock brakes you should see marked decrease in rotation. Fourth, he drove straight into the wall with plenty of time for both griffin and the cameraman to react. I'm tossing the BS flag on this.

ok, i get it. but if you watch the videos, his tires are not aimed at the wall. so he could have been going to fast and knew it was going to happen. and if any of you out there have ever watched those videos of crashes on spike tv, you know that most cameramen DONT move when they get mowed over. cars move too fast and a person cant react in .02 seconds..

to zippy - i had the same initial reaction as well. but my source told me that griffin has some crazy maxed out insurance policy, and, let's face it, tons of cash to throw around, which allows him to be relatively casual about totaling a car like this. word is he's done it several times before.

Don't be an idiot! No one crashes a$1.5 million dollar car just for ratings. Especially such a rare machine like that.

i have a friend who recently finished working on "redline", and he or she confirmed to me that this was a publicity stunt. apparently griffin also crashed several of his other personal vehicles shooting this movie as well. he has a huge insurance policy that allows him to be very casual with these cars.

obviously, i can't give you my source's name, but neither my source or i have any reason to lie about it.
