LAist: Blown Away in LA

I'm in the La Canada/Pasadena area, and around 12-1 the skies darkened, it poured, and the temp went down to 48. Now it's up 10 degrees but windy as all get-out. I think the cold freaked me out worse than the winds.

i was thinking of doing a post, too! great minds! we got a freak storm here in north hollywood around noon. the winds are still rattling the windows and howling and shrieking, although the sky returned quickly to blue with big fluffy clouds.

same thing happened down here at usc....very very amusing watching the gilmore girls shoot outside my office try and save the set during the chaotic weather, made it worthwhile!

xTx here, reporting from Torrance to say that we just had a freaking freak HAILSTORM that lasted maybe 5 minutes underneath pitch black clouds. Now it's 20 minutes later and the sun is shining and the sky is bright blue. WTF indeed?

Yes! I live & work downtown and was just about to write up a post on this very subject! And now, eerily, it's sunny again...as if it never happened.
