MySpace Sues Comment Spammers

Beverly Hills based MySpace announced today that they are as sick of comment spammers on profiles as you are. And since they are rich (for example, those featured profiles from movies and tv shows, they cost $75,000), they can sue! Here's the message from Tom, posted today at 3:00 p.m., PST.

I know a lot of you are seeing spam comments on your page. sorry about that! The super nasty ones block your other comments. They also may not be easy to delete...

just fyi, we are in the process of taking legal action against the losers behind this comment spam. bad news is that's going to take awhile because courts are slow, good news is we won some recent cases which is going to make it easy to punish the beejesus out of them. also, we're working on a filter that will stop it from happening altogether.. that should be done in a few days.

Dear Tom, we are also sick of getting friend requests from a billion hot girls. We mean, they are hot and all, but yeah, we're sure the Alessandra Ambrosio look-a-like with a "free" webcam is not interested in really becoming our friend and that free comes with a high cost.

Dear Zach, we're sick of those too, but they're a little harder to track down.
