City of Moorpark Sues Time Warner Cable

Does this sound like something the City of Los Angeles should do? 382077442_49bff2e09b.jpg

The city of Moorpark has slapped a $25,000 fine against Time Warner Cable over what it says is poor service provided to customers.

The City Council voted 4-0 to fine the company over technical problems, long waiting times and telephone prompts that didn’t lead to the right answer.

“Time Warner has, for a period of time, not lived up to the obligations that are required for the citizens of this community,” Councilman Keith Millhouse was quoted by The Associated Press.

The council vote started the process of formally notifying Time Warner that fines will be assessed, The Associated Press quoted cable company regional spokeswoman Patti Rockenwagner.

“Once we receive formal notification, we will respond,” Rockenwagner was quoted by The Associated Press.
